Moving to Vancouver

Hi there, Vancouver Rationalists,

My name is Sandy and I'm a student from the University of Waterloo who happens to be working in Vancouver for the summer. I was wondering a few things about your meetup, and was hoping someone could fill me in:
- how often do you meet?
- how many regular members do you have?
- is your community tightly-knit outside of meetups?

Rationality has quite honestly been the single most important and instrumentally useful force in my life, and that's a hard thing to walk away from for a summer.

Hi sandy!

We meet once a week usually, but not this week because I'm testing the hypothesis that biweekly gets most of the value at half the cost.

The number seems to fluctuate. We've had 8 or 10 at times, last week we had 2. Unless more people have moved away or become disinterested, we might have 6 or so.

We are generally tight knit outside because I try to be friends with the other folks, but I dunno beyond that. I'd like to be closer.

Anyways, always glad to have new people. We'll see you next weekend I guess.
