1. Hey everyone! Just wanted to give you the results from last
week's bake sale extravaganza! We raised a total of $1293.00. Both
Frankie Fund and Friends of Niall are receiving checks for $646.50
from Van Wyck. Thank you so much to everyone for your support in
making this fundraiser a complete success!

2. Attention girls!! If you are interested in girls tennis, please
see Ms. Newton after school on Thursday in room 212. A sign up sheet
for tennis is in the main office.

3. Applications for the moving up ceremony tickets will be accepted
until Wednesday. Please get them in to Mrs. Sinclair as soon as
possible.

4. All library books must be returned. If your library account is
not clear, you may not receive your yearbook.

5. The Mid-Hudson Children's Museum is currently recruiting youths
between the ages of 12 and 17 to participate in the June thru November
2009 session of the Youth Volunteer Program. This will be the 18th
session of the program. This program helps teens develop socially,
learn job skills, gain responsibility, and achieve a feeling of self
confidence and independence. Each session consists of a select group
of 20-25 teans from Dutchess County. Please contact Kate Daley, Youth

6. We need volunteers to sell tickets for our June 19th benefit dance
for Keano Munoz. The dates we need help are Friday, June 12, Monday
and Tuesday, June 15 and 16 during the lunch hours, which start at
9:30 and end at 2:00.

7. Any 8th graders interested in participating on the cross country
team at John Jay, there will be a informational meeting tomorrow at
John Jay. The meeting will take place at 7 pm in
the large group instruction room off the main entrance.

8. School store will be open today and tomorrow. We will be selling
Father's Day things. A lot of stuff will be on sale! We have
mechanical pencils again.

School store members remember our pizza party is today. Meet in the
cafeteria at dismissal.

9. Hey Van Wyck Students! Mark your calendars…we are having ONE more
dance! Yes, you heard right. Friday, June 19th from 6-8 PM we are
having the one last chance to dance.

All of the money collected will go to help Keano Munoz and his family.
The DJ is even doing this for FREE….PTO is sponsoring a bake sale to
help out too!

Come support a member of the Van Wych family. Tickets will be on sale
during all lunch periods on Friday, June 12th, and Monday and Tuesday
the15th & 16th. We'd are asking for a $5 donation for the tickets.
