Dear all in the google value network group,

For a few years now, there has been a wikipedia entry for value
networks. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Value_network

The current entry is not up to wikipedia standards, and in my opinion
it doesn't reflect the meaning of value networks very well. It is a
patchwork created by different authors, which - especially in the
introduction - confuses rather than enlightens.

Twice over the past years, I have tried to work updates into the
entry. What I run in to when I work on the entry, is that I am not
equipped with the skills to rework it well. I only seem to be able to
rewrite it wholesale. Which in the world of wikipedia is not an
option.

I hope there may be members of this community, who find it easier than
me to rework wikipedia entries to a higher level, and who would have
some interest (learning, joy, visibility, ...name your intangible) to
do some work on the value network entry.

My contribution could be to provide an input (amongst the many others
available).

I wrote an overview of value networks in organization theory for my
PhD studies, which deals with the major definitions and synonyms. And
of course there are good references (many named in the paper), like
Verna's work, and that of Christensen, Stabell and Fjeldstad to draw
upon. Feel free to use my input, which is posted here:

Thank you, Sergej, for all your work in value networks and in putting
out the message. For the benefit of all in the worldwide community,
the Wikipedia should be updated. Surely some will come forward to
help. For those in need of a starting point, just read the last
paragraph in Sergej's post.
