Description: Position Description
Develops sales operations plans for a sales territory (region) in consultation with the Director of Sales.
Establishes sales strategies to drive profitable growth including the development of defenses against competitive threats.
Responsible for overseeing the managing of company owned routes in the district.
Overseas the relationship between the Independent Operator/Distributor and Bimbo Bakeries USA.
Leads and develops the Area/Territory Sales Managers in his/her role of managing day to day direct store delivery operations in addition to related tasks.
Quantifies, and articulates upwardly, laterally and downward sales information; communicating same on a regular basis.
Responsible for the maintenance of exceptional customer and trade relations.
Develops marketing plans in cooperation with the overall Market strategy.
Assumes responsibility for implementing special projects as needed.
Directly supervises: Area/Territory Sales Managers , and Bakery Outlet Stores.
Liaisons with the Account Management Teams that are aligned with core and secondary customers to develop promotional and operational strategies.
Oversees overall route operations.
Assumes full P&L responsibility for assigned market area
Position Requirements
Superior sales and management experience with demonstrated significant accomplishments.
Exceptional knowledge and history of accomplishments in DSD operations.
Proven track record of effective leadership including people development.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Degreed individual with advanced training would be considered a strong candidate.
