The November meeting will feature timely presentations to help you
with your holiday shopping chores. Geof Goodrum will review a number
of websites to help you find the best quality items at the lowest
possible prices. Geof will also review web sites that can help you
make wise charitable giving choices. Bill Walsh will continue with an
introduction to buying items on eBay, including some basic information
about creating an account, searching for items, and bidding, as well
as the all-important tips on what you need to look for to make the
transaction a success. Many eBay articles are not old, used items. The
selling community includes many businesses that use eBay to sell
factory-new products. You can search by keyword match or category, and
can even create and save searches that eBay checks daily, sending you
e-mails when a matching item goes up for sale.
Learn 30 Session: Also during the November meeting, Neal Grotenstein
will discuss and demonstrate how to setup and use Administrative and
User accounts on the Microsoft Windows operating system. User accounts
can protect you against undesirable software that can steal your
personal information and slow down your PC.
