Subject: Older SRT's/SHO's

I've been looking at 300 SRT'S for a spell and found 2 that met my income and interests. Both were 06's.One with 23k on it ,the other with 80k.Prices were $23999 and $17900.I called the the first one and was told it was no longer for sale as the dealers wife decided she wanted it.I told the dealer "bullshit' they would never make any $ that way.He calls me back, knowing full well that I've bought 5 cars from, and tells me the price was never $24k,but $26k.The n he proceeds to lecture me on how dagerous this car was, with the power and what not.My reply was,"Bob, my first 2 cars had 440's in them, then the 4 tauruses I bought from you, then the 98 SHO.He stopped me in the middle of the conversation and started asking about the condition and milage on the show.Of course I gave him the complete run down on the care and maintenance I've done on the SHO and his mood changed 180 degrees.I told him of the invitation to FOMCO' SHO intruduction and my letter
of authenticity. And over the phone he offered more $ for the SHO.I told him"Just like PAWN STARS" theres 20 $100 bills waiting on his responce for the SRT and he told me "Sorry,no deal".Ive Car faxed the other SRT and talked to the previous owner, and it's spotless.rust free. and brand new Eagle Rs tires.Tommorrow i test drive and see if another Hemi is in my future. No matter the danger of a 425 hp .

Eh, keep looking around, including eBay. Also some SRT8 Chargers out there.

First shop sounds like a buncha dickheads.

70K miles is nothing nowadays.

Right! Those motors are pretty much bullit proof, and I've spoken with the elderly gent who owned it and he kept meticulous maintenance records with  mobil one oil changes. And there are Chargers aplenty, but there just not my cup of tea.Not enough of the "sleaper" apperance!I still wonder the interest the dealer had in my SHO----puzzleing???
