Tracking memory used by JS programs

Hi,

I'm trying to track the memory allocated for javascript programs by v8. Not the size of the heap used by v8 but the size used to allocate the objects and everything. I'm using the "--trace_gc --trace_gc_nvp" options and a simple script to parse the output, extract the "allocated" fields and sum all the values together. I've also added calls to the "gc()" function at the end of my JS files to make sure that the GC is ran at least once.

I just wanted to check if my way of measuring those allocations is correct or if I'm missing some important details.
