Just started using v4l4j today on CentOS 6, works great, nice job!
I'm using it to grab periodic snapshots in a small green house (read
box) and I'd love to use the build-in LED lights on the front since I
don't have any white light in the box. Is there any way to control
them using v4l4j? Otherwise, I guess I need to explore a separate
command-line tool that uses the camera driver to control the lights(?)

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
For each video device on the system, v4l4j exposes all controls that
are made available by the driver (through the V4L2 api). So if there
is nothing LED-related in the control list, there isnt much v4l4j can
do about it. If you give me the camera make/model and output of 'ant
deviceInfo', I can take a look at the driver source code to see if
there is anything that can help you use the front LED.
Cheers,
Gilles
