DESIGNER, ONLINE USER EXPERIENCE

Position Summary:

As a member of our core agile delivery team, you will help build
innovative and inspiring solutions for a range of
organizations including many of North America’s top companies.

Responsibilities
• apply your web design and development expertise to build creative,
practical, innovative solutions
• design and develop rich, attractive and intuitive user interfaces
• provide work effort estimates
• interact directly with Architech Solutions’ partners and clients
• maintain clear communications with all stakeholders throughout
project lifecycles
• interact with Software Engineers/Developers to integrate with
backend services and enterprise systems
• apply excellent communications skills, creativity and practical
knowledge to benefit our clients and to effectively represent
Architech Solutions
• participate in agile project execution


Qualifications, Skills and Competencies
• post secondary education in computers, engineering or equivalent
training/experience
• 3 – 5 years designing/implementing interactive, data-intensive
Internet applications
• expert knowledge of CSS and HTML
• expert knowledge of semantic layout techniques, AJAX, JavaScript and
jQuery
• strong working knowledge of other web technologies such as Drupal,
PHP, and WordPress
• strong working knowledge of content management systems such as
Alfresco, OpenCMS, and Teamsite
• experience with Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator is a plus
• proven experience creating rich, user friendly interfaces
• strong visual design sense in regard to graphic design and web page/
site design is a plus
• a web standards aficionado with a deep understanding of cross-
browser issues and fixes
• ability to hand-code HTML from scratch
• agile project experience a plus
• experience with Eclipse, SVN and QA tools
• exceptional English communication skills (both written and verbal)
are a must

Position: Full time
Reports To: VP, Delivery
Location: GTA, travel required
Education: Post secondary education in computers, engineering or a
related discipline
Experience: 3-5 Years
