Looking for a light-weight web-based tool for a small team - threaded discussions to replace email, file sharing, tasks.
Oh, did I mention it should be free?
Any suggestions?

Have you tried Trello? We use it on some projects at Normative - it's very nice and lightweight.

You should really take a look at Asana. We're using it at Tucows and
loving it. Free for teams of 30 or less.

Asana is decent. Minigroup is also great (and Canadian) - it's not free, but so cheap it might as well be.

Not too many features on the task management side of things, but we've managed to use it to replace 90%+ of email communications.
