Subject: Wed Nov 4 - UX Book Club Toronto - Design is the Problem - Sustainability
UX Book Club Toronto is back for a discussion of Nathan Shedroff's
"Design is the Problem: The Future of Design Must be Sustainable".
We'll also be choosing our next book.

It's not necessary to have read the book to participate, but you will
get more from the discussion if you have. We're at The Bedford
Academy
(http://www.thebedfordacademy.com/) this month.

Bring a friend. As always, all people interested in UX, design and
sustainability are welcome.

See you tomorrow!

In "Design is the Problem: The Future of Design Must be Sustainable",
Nathan Shedroff examines how the endemic culture of design often
creates unsustainable solutions, and shows how designers can bake
sustainability into their design processes in order to produce more
sustainable solutions.

"Design is the Problem" explains:

1. How sustainability isn't as difficult to understand and address as
many would have you think

2. Several of the leading frameworks and perspectives on
sustainability

3. How to insert sustainability into the development process that
you're already using

4. The many, practical strategies that make the products, services,
and events you design and develop more sustainable—right now
