Hi Irregulars,

My company, Normative, is hiring.

We're a small design strategy firm based in Toronto that focuses on
happily mixing the best parts of interaction design with a strategic
mindset and a dash of honest to goodness systems thinking.

We're looking for an Experience Designer who isn't afraid of design
research and has an interest in strategy as well. The role will be be
quite diverse in terms of scope; we prefer the term
"transdisciplinary" ourselves. Our days can range from wireframing in
the trenches to advising clients on strategic design choices. It's a
pretty balanced mix of both. We're just under a year old, so new team
members will have the opportunity to significantly impact the company
culture and practice as we grow.

We don't have account or project managers; we believe that great
design-based companies always endeavor to put practitioners in front
of clients. You probably won't like working with us if you don't like
working closely with clients; we're very focused on co-design wherever
possible.

If you'd like to learn more about the role and our company, we
encourage you to contact us. Sending an email to matthew (at)
normativedesign.com is a good way to start. Include a resume or CV;
portfolio is optional. We do require that you show us some examples of
the breadth and depth of your thinking about design and strategy in
general. Presentations on Slideshare, thoughtful blog posts or other
examples of the thinking behind your boxes and arrows are what we'd
love to see.

Cheers,

Matthew
