Jamdeo is seeking a Senior Visual Interface Designer to help visualize an innovative new Smart Ecosystem platform (Smart TV, Tablets, SmartPhones, Applications).. As a visionary designer you will have proven consumer design experience for desktops (OS and/or applications), and/or mobile applications (iPhone, Google) for both Smartphones & Tablets. You will be a part of a multi-disciplinary team collaborating with other, Visual Designers, Interaction Designers, Developers and Product Management.

Candidates should possess an exceptional visual eye for detail and be comfortable in conceptualizing icons, creating rich visual themes for applications, defining visual systems and creating style guides. Your passion for producing world class artwork is something you’re proud of. A willingness to innovate, take risks, and present concepts to a seasoned room of engineers and marketing folks is critical to the success of the candidate.

As a member of the UX team, the Senior Visual Designer is expected to demonstrate excellence in leadership, communication, collaboration, and champion the user experience. The team is focused on determining the future direction of the next generation of a new computing platform - under tight timelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Champion of user experience and ability to understand user interface design principals as they relate to desktop applications and handheld devices
  
• Iteratively conceptualize, explore, evaluate solutions, and support their implementation  Ability to produce multiple unique stylistic approaches to a problem (both 2D & 3D)
  
• Create visual designs to support wireframe storyboards
  
• Create a intuitive visual system for complex applications
  
• Create a user interface style guide for a suite of products.
  
• Create simulations or prototype complex interactions with prototyping tools (Flash, HTML)  Work with developers to assess the feasibility of implementing solutions
  
• Produce all creative assets/artwork required for implementation
  
• Refactor design in order to deliver to market
  

Required Qualifications

• BFA or BA degree in design related studies is required with a portfolio demonstrating user experience and visual design work.
  
• 5 years as an visual interface designer developing consumer products
  
• Master of visual design with the ability to establish a cohesive visual language / system that achieves the user experience goals
  
• Master of information design with the ability to establish visual hierarchy, indicate relationships, and hint at behavior
  
• Master of motion design and ability to create compelling transitions
  
• Passion for color, typography & style
  
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, from one on one meetings, to group design sessions
  
• Highly professional, with the ability to deliver solid work on tight schedules
  
• Comfortable working in a loosely structured organization
  
• Fluency with Photoshop, Illustrator, MS Visio, 3D software (modeling & rendering), Motion tools (or other compositing tools) and other design tools
  
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and work with little direction

• Ability to Speak & Write in Mandarin
  
• Experience in designing for the 10ft experience
  
• Experience designing for Mobile Computers
  
• Experience simulating complex workflows, core UI interactions, and applications 
  
• 3D Modeling and Design skills
