| ReFresh Denver typically meets on the third Wednesday of each month. UX Book Club is on the fourth of each month so we're not taking fans away from Chip & the gang. There's been some overlaps lately due to the holidays, but we should be back on track in Jan. If you're free on Wed, Jan 27, we'd love to see you (neither ReFresh & AIGA Denver have anything scheduled or posted yet for that date). I've been trying to schedule UX events in the Denver area for
years :-) You're all correct, there is basically no way to avoid
conflicts. I see this as a good problem to have, indicating that our
community is maturing. Yet, it causes me great pain!
Personally, I have a standing conflict with UX Book Club and the Mile
High Social Media meeting. Both are always scheduled on the last Weds
of the month. For example, this month I have to choose between
discussing Josh Porter's Social Media book, and hearing a panel about
social media policies within orgs. Ironic, huh, and also a BUMMER.
I would suggest that the leaders of all these groups at least be aware
of each other's existence - as a first step. As for a master
calendar, it will never exist. For now, probably the best that
leaders can do is consult the Meetup calendar + whenisgood, net + the
new denwhere.com. For UX meetings, the new IxDA master site (when it
launches) may also emerge as a de facto central calendar - stay tuned.

| Hey Laurie - Thanks for the info. I joined Mile High Social Media so I'll be in the know. Maybe you can find a partner in crime who will switch off meetings with you and take fabulous notes. That way we're sure to see you at least 50% of the time. |
