Mao Wei, is a Chinese woman artist. She graduated from the Central Academy
of Fine Arts in 1954 in Beijing. She is the Vice President of Beijing Woman
Fine Artists Association, a member of The Beijing Fine Artists Union, and a
Research Fellow of the Zhongyuan Painting and Calligraphy Research
Institute.

She is specialized in modern Chinese ink and colour painting and oil
painting for landscapes. Her works are often collected by individuals and
organizations, and exhibited, published and won prizes both at home and
abroad. ”Mao Wei’s Painting Collections” was published in 1996. Her
biography was included in “92’ Chinese Artists”,“ Biography of
Contemporary Chinese Famous Artists” and other biography publications.
