Hi,

Should I reject offset with values less than 0xFFFF but has 8 digits
such as 0x0000FFFF since the number is not 16 bit?

The reason I am asking is that cs241.binasm passes such offset.

(Someone correct me if I'm wrong) But 0x0000FFFF is the same as
0xFFFF.

Sorry I meant less than or equal to 0xFFFF. I am just worried about
"16 bit" requirement.

The MIPS Assembly reference says,

"If specified as hexadecimal i must not exceed 0xffff."
