SOFA = Slow (or Seven) Old Fat Assholes. Bob Wagner, a UVM grad student who played with us in the early eighties after his 70's stint with Bucknell, played on SOFA.

Speaking of which I dropped my old UVM alumni book on the floor trying to clean house and it fell open. I glanced down as i picked it up and a name popped out at me "Dobensky, Mrs. Ellen Costello, EDSS 1988 BS, TCHR Strafford Public Schools, Strafford, CT. An original Cool Runnings alumnus!!!! This is kind of long and quite random, so bear with me.
For present and future reference, tourney organizing, email heckling, etc, I've attached two versions (Excel 2010 and 2003) of a spreadsheet with all the names, emails and graduation years I can think of, along with whether they're on the Google group. It's sorted in alpha order by first name. For the women I listed your original name first followed by your married name in parens. Let me know if I messed anything up. I may not have sent this to everyone who's listed on the spreadsheet, but that'll have to wait. Then I can ask everyone if they want to be added to the Google group.
Also on the Google group list are two folks who played with us at Potlatch this year (Yuki and Sam--Perry, look! It's Sam! We're saved!), and two who didn't (Amelia, Dan H).
Betty is not on the Google group list, but I've put her back on the To line. Betty! Looks like Evie fell off this email too, but she's on the Google group. Nonetheless, I've added her. Evie!
Bart (MOTY), as others mentioned, I recall hearing that SOFA stood for Slow Old Fat Alcoholics. A post-UVM teammate and med student once called them a BOHICA team. BOHICA refers to a certain kind of hospital patient. You need a laugh, right? Go ahead, check www.acronymfinder.com for that one. Use as needed.
So Bart was MOTY (Mother of the Year) and Stodds was MOTU (Master of the Universe). Hmmm... they're both hard to say, but I think Stodds wins.
Perry, I don't see the pics from JD of Scotty in the chaise or of you, RBK and Evie. Did you forget to attach those too, or were they in a different thread? LOVE the sheep pic.
