I was just thinking that with all of the new communications methods
coming out, there might be a place for a Python based next gen
communications night.

For example, mozilla messaging came out with Raindrop, which kind of
aggregates multiple communications methods. Apparently it is built on
Twisted - which could make for a cool presentation - maybe presenting
the basics and how to build it (since apparently that's kind of a
chore right now).

Also, google wave has the concept of bots written in Java or Python.
It might be fun to do an intro to Python bots on wave.
