Hello all,

Bryan Kessinger from the DWS emailed me (below) to see if any game
developers were available for a Game Development panel at Sundance.
You will just need to answer questions and talk about your game
development and how it compares to the indie development documented in
the movie. We need confirmations and preferred titles and bios from
you if you'd like to participate. Also let me know what day (from the
list below) you would prefer to see the screening of the Indie Games
documentary movie.
This is kind of on a short notice. If we get 3 or more volunteers by
tomorrow morning, then the panel will happen and we'll all get free
tickets to whichever screening we chose. If not, then they will
cancel the panel.

The HUB will be at Sundance in park city:
751 Main St

If you have any other questions you can call Bryan at the mobile
number 801-400-9935 and he should be able to help.

-Josh

Hello Josh,

I work for the Department of Workforce Services (DWS) and we have been
assisting Film Utah and the Utah Film Commission (UFC) in creating a
lounge to promote Utah as a place to do business and make movies. The
Lounge will be called the HUB presented by UFC and will hold daily panel
discussions and private social events. I am in charge in putting
together a panel discussion with independent video game developers.

In the World Documentary Category this year at the film festival there
is a movie called Indie Games - a doc about independent video games.
Thus, we would like to show case our indie gaming companies and invite
them as professional guests to a panel discussion. We are looking for
four or five individuals who are professional from the industry to
participate.

The topic would be something like... Inside Scoop on Utah’s Video
Game Production with the independent perspective. Those who agree to
participate on the panel would be invited to see the movie as well...and
a course we would want to hear their thoughts on the film.

Here is what we are looking at as far as dates and times:

Screen Movie - at one of the following dates and locations (working on
getting free tickets according to guest's schedule):

* Yarrow Hotel Park City - 1/20/2012 = 3:00 p.m.
* Redstone Cinema 8 Park City - 1/21/2012 = 12:30 p.m.
* Salt Lake City Library - 1/22/2012 = 12:00 p.m.
* Prospector Square Park City - 1/25/2012 = 11:30 a.m.

Panel Discussion on Thursday Jan 26 at 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the HUB
presented by the Utah Film Commission

Please let me know if you would be interested and willing to help
out.
Please call me when you can as our deadline on this finalizing these
event is tomorrow.

If you or any of your friends are interested in volunteering and
helping out UFC at the HUB Lounge here is the URL to sign up....

here is a blog post about it:

I hope it is not too late- this looks like an amazing opportunity to
get some good exposure and potentially meet some really awesome people
(celebrities even)

I am very interested- thanks

UPDATE-

So Ive just called Bryan from the first post. He let me know that
there were only 5 seats available which are all filled up already. He
added me to a "waiting list" of which I was the third to be added. Too
bad I took my time to call! I should have called when I first saw the
post. Thanks Anyway!
