consider the United Way as one of your charities this year but the

Procedures for Closing due to Inclement Weather
The College will generally follow the lead of the University in
deciding to close  all  operations due to inclement weather, subject
to  the  Provost's discretion  to close earlier.  A decision to close
the College is  distinct from  an  announcement that classes have been
cancelled.   Trinity  College will  be  considered open and normal
non-teaching operations will  continue even  when a decision to cancel
classes has been announced, until such time as the official
notification to "close the College" is made. "Closing the College" is
defined as a suspension of all activities with the exception  of
essential services (i.e. Service Worker I's, engineering  and
switchboard). Jill  Willard will be in contact with the University of
Toronto (PLEASE  DO NOT  CALL  SIMCOE  HALL OR HUMAN RESOURCES) and
will relay  information  to office  supervisors  if a decision has
been made to close  the  University. Supervisors  will  then inform
their staff that they may  leave  (essential services  excepted).
Staff  appointed  personnel  will  not  suffer   any reduction in
salary for lost time incurred.  Those who choose to remain and those
who  are required to work to maintain essential services during  any
period of closure will be paid in accordance with the overtime policy.

Tips for Correctly Addressing Mailing Envelopes
In a recent communiqu, from Canada Post, the following instructions
were given for the correct presentation of addresses on mailing
envelopes: as illustrated in the address below: .
- addresses should be typed or written in upper case or block letters
- address lines must be formatted with a uniform left margin .
- punctuation marks (commas, periods) should not be used unless they
are  part of a place name (e.g. St. John's)
-  postal code should appear on the same line as the municipality
and  province name and must be separated from the province by two
spaces .    the two-letter symbol for the province name should be
used wherever  possible.
