"This is it?"

"Yeah, 'fraid so," Jimmy answered nodding slowly. "I know its kinda small, but we're not exactly at the top of the ladder."

Anton's shoulders slumped, as he glanced around the quarters to which he'd been assigned. They didn't exactly look like they could accommodate four people. "Well, I know that, but you'd think they'd give us some space to actually move." Slowly, he moved around the room, hoping to check out the small bedrooms, and planning to claim one as his own. He expected that they'd all be the same, and look like the main living area, if you could call the small box a living area. It didn't even have a window.

"Maybe they don't think we'll have time to move," Jimmy replied, dumping his bag at one of the four desks in the room.

Clearly, this wasn't a space to live in. It was merely a place to sleep in. The rest of the day was obviously supposed to be spent studying, and working wherever you were told to be. Anton hated spaces like this one. He always felt like he needed to escape. At the Academy, he could merely go and sit outside. Here on a Starship, there was little chance of that. Recreational Holodeck time for Cadets were not worth wasting on a facsimilie of being outside. Sanders had other things in mind for that.

The quiet of the room was soon replaced with the hissing sound of the doors behind them. Both Cadets spun round to almost a little shaken up by the sound. Not that they shouldn't have expected it, after all, the room was a quad room. It was inevitable that there'd be others arriving. Stood in the opening was a Vulcan, who stepped inside to join them.

Jimmy crossed the room, heading straight for the newcomer. "Hey, I'm Jimmy Dean," he said, introducing himself, before turning to Sanders, "and this right here is "Major" Sanders," he joked, trying to remember what Anton had told him about the chicken guy.

"Its Colonel Sanders numb nuts," Anton replied grinning, before realising that the Vulcan may well take him seriously. "And I'm not really a Colonel."

"I had already made just such an assumption," the Vulcan answered with a nod, as he stepped into the room, the doors closing behind him. "Am I to assume that you have no intention of impersonating a superior officer?"

"Sorry, its just a joke," Jimmy replied.

"And a bad one at that." Anton finally put his own bag down, before coming closer to the Vulcan. "Names Anton. Anton Sanders."

"Sturok of Vulcan," the Cadet replied.

When no further information seemed to present itself, Sanders shrugged his shoulders, thinking 'this guys gonna be *loads* of fun'. Grabbing his bag from the floor, and heading for one of the rooms. "I call dibs on this one," he decided quickly, making a mental note of the genius of such a plan.

"How come you get that room?"

"Because its closer to the bathroom," Anton replied, "and I called dibs."

Jimmy merely nodded, as if all this made perfect sense. "Then I call dibs on that one," pointing to the room next door. Picking up his own bag, he headed for his new space.

The Vulcan on the other hand, looked about as puzzled as any Vulcan had ever looked in the history of time. To secure a room of his own, perhaps he too would have to send a communication to the mysterious "Dibs"...
