I have an EMHC ministry defined with sub-ministries that include 'Head
EMHC' and 'Regular EMHC.' However, I set up Substitute EMHC's as a
completely separate ministry. I've just discovered that someone
qualified as a Substitute can't go in and 'accept' a substitution
request that's been posted by a regular EMHC. I'd appreciate any
ideas on the easiest way to remedy this situation! Thanks.

You can only be assigned positions in ministries that you are qualified for. If you set up Substitute EMHC as a separate ministry, it means those ministers are not qualified to fill Regular EMHC positions. One option would be to add those ministers to the Regular EMHC ministry, but when you do so, select the "Sub Only" box to indicate that they are not "regular" ministers. Understanding why it is important to have the distinction would help with suggesting other options.

Dan,
First, I would filter the main ministers list to find all Subsitute EMHCs.

Next, select them all (or the appropriate portion of them) and assign them to the Head EMHC and/or Regular EMHC subdivision(s) of the EMHC ministry. Don't forget to click the substitute checkbox. Depending on each minister's qualifications, you might need to select a single minister multiple times to completely and correctly assign all substitute ministers.

Finally, select all Substitute EMHCs again and remove them from the Substitute EMHC ministry before deleting that ministry from your list of ministries.
