Dial in access - Free? 
  In the UK we have a number of ISP's who provide free dial up access to the internet - Virgin.net, Freeserve.net and Aol to name but 3. I am travelling to Toronto in a few days, and am looking for a dial up account that I can use for about a week. Has the free dial up concept crossed the atlantic yet? or are us Brits ahead of you guys?... more »

I only get 28.8 with my v.90 
  I should get at least 33.6 shouldn't I? I have never gotten more than 28.8 in Tampa or Clearwater. How does everyone else do?

idle time for telnet session ? 
  Hi, I sometimes log into usf.edu by telnet (rlogin) session via modem pool. But its allowble idle time looks much shorter than that of PPP session. I haven't measured it, but it takes only several minutes for mode to kill the session. Can you extend it to a little more reasonable period ?? Thanks... more »

How can I access USF newsgroups from an ISP? 
  I want to logon to news.usf.edu from my ISP. Is there anyway to do that without going through the *slow* 56K (28.8) modems at USF?
