Jokes apart, this was a mode of teaching when I was young—this was how people became converts to Islam or Christianity. This was how we learned elementary magic. This was how we learned and created stories.
Street education was part of how many of us grew up before a generation came that was driven to schools in cars.
The first thing I will teach CAO in the motor park is how to fight! And he will later beg me for “conk incantation” to turn into thin air.

Subject: Re: USA Africa Dialogue Series - PROF TOYIN FALOLA'S EVENTS TIMELINE FOR MAY-JULY, 2019
Simple response: It's obvious you have not met Falola. The entire park will be in an uproar. I am talking of what i have seen sir.
Seriously now, i like the idea of motor park lectures. And the emergence of Gramsci's organic intellectual able to manoeuvre between the parks and the classrooms. Indeed, the motor parks are classrooms!

Adeshina,
Seriously, does Falola have the capacity to interact at the motor parks? I doubt it.
If he does, that would be fantastic! Motor park lectures are overdue in Nigeria.

Dear Editor Ghazal (Wale):
Many thanks for such a comprehensive listing of May-July 2019 Events Timeline Activities of
SIR Toyin Falola. It is very important that you posted it. For, I am on my way to Ghana to give a major
speech at a conference on a local university campus. What I plan to do is to see if I can change my
airline flight of June 8, 2019 to an earlier one, maybe May 30,/2019, to pass through Nigeria to attend
SIR Toyin Falola's Babcock event in Ikenne; I can, as well, visit Mayflower College, just to see what ihas
become of the great institution of my other Yoruba Mentor, the late Dr. Tai Solarin (with his addictive
"Thinking With You" column in DAILY TIMES). Of course, it will be great to see our own, dear SIR
Toyin Falola receive his 12th (?) Honorary Degree from Babcock University!
Again, many thanks for the listing! As for SIR Toyin Falola, we need some of his travel zeal and human
powers, which enable him to live like "a candle in the wind" and also like a spirit that is all over the place.
Yet, he survives and thrills in them all! We wish him safe travels as well, as it is becoming more and more
risky to fly these days, although some frinds say that it is safer in the air than on earth!!!
With best wishes,
A.B. Assensoh.
