Description: Position Description: This is a senior/lead technical position requiring very strong MS .Net, C#, MS SQL Server, and technical design skills.

This person will be responsible for software development, analysis, design, and architecting MS .Net-based business solutions. S/he will be expected to take a lead technical role, evaluating technology and techniques, specifying development standards, mentoring and helping less-senior developers, and generally supporting the development team in solving difficult technical and business problems.

Additionally, this person will be expected to have excellent communication and project management skills and be able to effectively deal with people from accounting clerks up through executive management.

This person will be expected to work closely and strategically with the Director of IT.

Primary Technical Skills Required:
- Very strong development experience and skills with the MS .Net framework, C#, VB.Net, Visual Studio 2003/2005/2008, ASP.net and windows programming
- Very strong development experience and skills with MS SQL Server 2005, including T-SQL, table design, store procedures, relationships, etc.
- Deep understanding of Object Oriented design and programming
- Excellent Visual Studio debugging skills
- Prior system architecture skills
- Full SDLC and packaged software implementation experience
- Familiarity with the CSLA framework a major plus

Primary Non-Technical Skills Required:
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent general problem solving skills
- The ability to persuade and engender trust
- Familiarity with general business systems including order processing, purchasing, inventory, billing, sales, accounts receivable, general ledger, etc.
- The ability to remain poised and focused in fast-paced and occasionally challenging situations
- Must enjoy taking a lead position in learning and evaluating new techniques, technologies, and development frameworks
- 50% coding in C# and VB.net
15% SQL back-end development
35% technical team lead, analysis, design, architecture and project co- management

Director wants a go-to person who is a technical “guru” but who also has excellent communication skills and can deal well with non-technical people. He expects this person to investigate now technology and be a technical problem solver for the department.

THEIR DEVELOPMENT ENVIRONMENT CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING:

- .Net/C#/Asp.net
- SQL Server Experience
- Winforms experience a plus
- FSLC development –SOA – Service Oriented Architecture – a must to be successful in this role
- XML Web Services exp a must
-BizTalk Server exp a plus
