Title: C++ Software Consultant.
Work Location: King of Prussia, PA area.
Is Telecommuting possible? No.
Work environment (private office?, cube?, high rise office building?: Cubicle.
Who does this position will report to?: Senior Manager.
Why is there a need for a consultant/contractor? Special skills needed.
What is the start date of the contract?: ASAP
What is the anticipated length/scope of the contract?: 6 months initial.
What is the size of department?: This particular group is a group of 10, but the whole department is almost 50
What projects will the consultant be involved with?: Network protocol development.
Role with the group (manager, programmer, etc.): Programmer.
Required Skills:
" Expert C/C++ programming
" Experience developing either of the following protocols SS7, TCP/IP, UDP/IP, SNMP, or SIGTRAN
" Socket programming
" IPC, Multi-treaded and Multi-process application development
" Production support and troubleshooting network applications
Desired Skills:
" Shell or Perl Scripting
" Wireless experience
" Real time operating systems / embedded software development experience
" Clearcase or other Version Control Software.
" Memory and CPU profiling tools experience.

Who is involved in the interview process?
The process starts out with a 20 minute phone screen.
If a candidate gets past that, there will be an in-person interview that generally lasts about 2 hours. The first 90 minutes are conducted in a group setting with 3 or 4 engineers, and the last 30 minutes is with the Manager of Applications Development.
