Description: Primary skills:
1. 5+ years of Infrastructure Operations and 3+ years of Infrastructure Design and Engineering experience
2. Provide project management support in architecting and implementing new technologies
3. Design and test of implementation plans for new systems or upgrades to existing systems
4. Document Logical and Physical design for new infrastructure systems
5. Create plans that will be used by Operations team for actual implementation of systems
6. Work with subject matter expert on Microsoft Technologies to architect solutions for Related
7. Provides guidance for all IT initiatives by creating/updating Infrastructure Engineering policy and standards
8. Responsible for capacity planning and for managing inventory of IT resources, such as data centers (rack planning, cooling, power, etc), networks (VLANS, IP ranges, WAN/LAN connectivity, etc), and SAN storage (availability, allocations, etc).
9. MCSE/MCSA and/ or MOF/ITIL certification preferred
10. Bachelors degree in computer science or commensurate related experience
11. Strong knowledge of the Windows 2003 platform
12. Strong knowledge of Microsoft’s messaging solution and Microsoft Operations Manager
Secondary skills:
1. Enforce the overall architecture which includes applications, data and technical infrastructure
2. Experience with standards development and implementation

Description of role:
1. Prepare Logical and Physical design of infrastructure project
2. Prepare physical design for infrastructure for Applications project
3. perform Tech review of vendor proposed solutions
4. Evaluate and select technology solution for Related based on business needs
5. Participate in project budgeting and approval process
6. Provide design and enforce the over all architecture
7. Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities
8. Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures
9. Participate in contractual negotiations with solutions partners in the area of technical content
10. Provide design and implementation plan for new office locations
11. Manage the quality of the integration of new solutions with existing platforms
12. Work closely with IT development project teams, operations team and vendors to ensure technical compatibility
13. Provide a central contact point for the enterprise architecture related to infrastructure design, standards and operation
14. Ensure the quality of the technical design, development and testing of new enterprise infrastructure components
15. Provide technical leadership and direction for software and hardware integration between business systems
