Description: Position owns the cost component of our profitability reporting and investment decision making, including activity based management systems and structures. Position directs the expense component of the medium-term plan. Additionally, provides financial management support to the Strategic Alliance and Partnership Management areas. The position also supports the senior management team with financial reporting and analyses.
Essential Functions:
Activity Based Management – Developer and owner of a SAS based costing system used in decision analysis and support.
Account and Segment Profitability – Developer and owner of the cost component of partner and market segment profitability reporting and analysis.
Corporate Planning/Forecasting – Process owner for the annual medium-term plan.
Business Planning/Forecasting – Facilitates the monthly forecast for the Strategic Alliance and Partnership Management areas. Includes target setting, identification of opportunities and risks, and quantification/tracking of business initiatives.
Reporting & Analysis – Perform analyses and reporting for the medium-term plan, and contribute analysis to the annual plan.
Position responsibilities in mature state expected to be 30% structured, 70% project.
Requirements Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business with a concentration in Finance preferred.
Strong understanding of financial principles including NPV, ROI, CAPM, and Capital Planning.
Working knowledge of accounting practices and regulations.
Minimum 5 years experience in planning or expense management, preferably in both business and consolidation (corporate) roles.
Bank Cards or related financial service industry experience preferred.
Advanced skills in Excel including Pivot Table manipulation, utilization of Macros, charts and graphs, and in-depth understanding of Functions.
Proficient skills in Access and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of Peoplesoft financial suite preferred.
Strong organizational skills with an ability to handle variety of responsibilities and drive success with limited resources in a matrix organization.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Collaborative, results-oriented work style.
