monitor the CNG buses of gas leaks or gas detector failures. The
system also collects various vehicle data for both route planning
and bus maintenance.
- Project manager for the FAST project. The FAST project is a
complete system for electronic forms processing. This includes
scanning, OCR and validating medical forms for insurance companies.
The validation is done with both an in-house OCR process and
separate OCR packages. All subsystems operate independently and as
clients communicating with an SQL server database via ODBC. I was
responsible for the overall system architecture, designing the
validation expert system, and designing the client/server aspect of
the system.
- Project manager for the End of Line project. The End of Line
project is a system for testing automobiles at the end of the
production line. This real time system acquires data from vehicles
while they are put through a series of tests. Several testing
cells communicate with each other over a LAN, transferring
information of the automobile’s previous test results. I was
responsible for project planning, timing, resource allocation, and
architecture of the system. A complete structured analysis and
design of the system was done using CASE tools in an object
oriented design of the system. System was created under MS
Windows with multiple PC's communicating over a LAN.
- Maintained division's knowledge for keeping up to date with object
oriented methodologies.
- Created a simulation synchronizer using CASE tools for object
oriented analysis and design. This was created in C++ on an IBM
RS/6000 using AIX.
- Created an Ada interpreter for use in an embedded controller
debugger. Implemented the interpreter in different object oriented
