This week We are Featuring Portrait Painter Lois Woolley
LOIS WOOLLEY
Portrait Painting from Life
Composition, color, form, artistic anatomy, likeness. An effective
portrait is successful as a work of art, with likeness being an
important secondary
consideration.
Understanding the three-dimensional form of the human head. Each
morning will focus on a different issue (composition and color,
likeness,
hands, clothing, decoration). Afternoons feature a long term pose with
an
elaboratesetting. Demonstrations in oil and pastel.
Lois Woolley studied at Art Students League under Robert Breckman,
Robert Beverly Hale, Daniel Green, David Leffel. Exhibited
Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Club; Salmagundi Club, Conn. Pastel
Society, Hudson Valley Pastel Society, WAA. Represented by
Fletcher Gallery in Woodstock.
