Hello,

When I create a profile, the default setting for “Reporting Tag /
Data Parsing Option / Pageview Mimes Match” shows
“gif,jpg,jpeg,png,js,css,cur,ico,ida” and exclude button is
selected. I thought this meant files ending in .gif, .jpg, etc.
would be automatically exlcuded from reports. This is not the case
for me – I always see them in “IT Reports/Pages & Files/ File types.
How can I exclude them from reports? The server has 32 GB RAM, so I
don’t think it is a memory issue. Urchne version is 6.602.

Thanks,

e

Hi,

That fields means that those file types are excluded from reports that
are associated with visits & pageviews, meaning that a hit for that
file type will not be counted toward a pageview or be seen in the
content reports at all. The IT Reports section shows information for
everything else found in the log file - it is separate from the other
categories of reports. You don't need to worry about information in
this section affecting your visits and pageview count at all.

If you still wish to get rid of these files altogether, create an
exclude filter on request_origfilepath with regex: \.(gif|jpg|jpeg|
png|js|css|cur|ico|ida)$
