hi all,

did anybody know how this filter is working? i can`t find a
explanation. how can urchin know, that a user agent is a robot, theire
is no definition anywhere. i do not use the utm tracking in this
profile. i am using urchin 6.602. my theory was, that urchin has a
hard definition of browser, and in this filter, it matches, if the
user agent is not a browser. but i can`t really imagine that, because
nobody can know all browsers and nobody can keep this list up2date.

Many thanks and greetings,
ringo

Hi Ringo,

There is a list, but if a session contains a hit for the robots.txt
file, then that session will be considered a robot session. Obviously
that's dependent on the bot playing nice, but it does help in the
absence of being able to keep the list up-to-date.
