Shane and All,

The plan for next Saturday is to meet at Germantown Starbucks at 7
AM. The Starbucks on Rt. 118 next to a Safeway on the Right almost to
Middlebrook Rd. - 19724 Germantown Rd

We will meet at the take-out called Jenkinsburg, down a long dirt road
to the river at 10:30, to be changed and ready to climb aboard Glen's
truck. I will ask him to bring also his trailer to carry all the
boats.

We will paddle the first run slowly, scouting the lines from our boats
and sometimes from the shore. If the level at the Albright Bridge is
over 2.5 ft., there will be a group who will do the Cheat Narrows, in
case anyone wants to avoid the beefy Canyon.

We will do a second, non-stop run for those willing.

Everyone should be back at home by 10 PM.

I will be holding a 'day of creekin' on Sunday, where we will pick one
of the nearby creeks that has water, and give an intro to creek
running. The Lower Big Sandy is one of our favorites, and is always a
good candidate for our creek of the day. Also, maybe the Top Yough,
or the Middle Fork of the Tygart, depending on the levels.

Tom,
Could you please send GPS location or map of where we should meet in
WV - the Cheat River? Also it will be nice if we can call to some cell
phone in the case of emergency.

Probably, I will drive straight from my home (Herndon VA) to the Cheat
River because by going to Germantown I waste 40 min (and the trip is
already long enough).

It is pretty straight forward if you follow these.

Hi George,

I am glad you asked for clarification of the location. There will
be a $5 charge for shuttle.

The GPS location for Jenkinsburg (take-out where we will be
meeting) is,
39 35 42 N; 79 44 52 W

You will make a right turn off of Rt. 28 at Valley Point,
39 35 1 N; 79 38 7 S

From DC you will take I 270 to Frederick
Then, I 70 to Hancock
Then, I 68 W through Cumberland, past Friendsville to Bruceton Mills
in WV
Then, S. on Rt.26 to Valley Point.
Then turn R. at Valley Point gas station and turn L. where the road
makes a T.
(Careful the first time down to the river, as there is another couple
of turns on the secondary road. It's best if you have someone to
follow the first time down).

My cell is 301 980 1889, however it works only intermittently in West
Virginia.
