Tariro Youth Marimba Showcase on November 6, 7-11:30PM

Benefit marimba showcase features Hokoyo in their farewell performance and youth players from Kutsinhira Cultural Arts Center.

Join us November 6th at 7:00PM for an evening of energetic youth marimba! Hokoyo Marimba ─Eugene’s top youth marimba band and a perennial favorite at Cozmic Pizza─will play their final performance together in this benefit for Tariro (www.tariro.org), an organization that empowers young women in Zimbabwe orphaned by AIDS by supporting their education.

Opening for Hokoyo will be marimba students from Kutsinhira Cultural Arts Center (www.kutsinhira.org): Wanda Walker’s youth class, and Bud Cohen’s group Mutswi Wambuya. This is a don’t-miss opportunity to enjoy Hokoyo’s high-energy show for the final time, celebrate other local youth marimba players, and raise money to provide a brighter future for young women in Zimbabwe.
