Subject: Action Item - Special Election in Mississippi Today
Bored? Got some time to kill? Want to help Democrats win an additional
seat in the United States House of Representatives?

Travis Childers is a Democrat running for a vacant seat in the United
States House of Representatives after the previous incumbent, Roger
Wicker, was appointed to the United States Senate to replace Trent
Lott. Childers is a local county clerk and relatively conservative
democrat but stands solidly with us on economics, Iraq, and health
care. This seat is winnable due to the strengths Childers possesses as
a candidate. There will be six names on the ballot including a
democrat and a republican who have both withdrawn. Also, there is no
party identification on the ballot. Should no candidate receive more
than 50% of the vote there will be a run off between the top two vote
getters next month.

Sen. Obama has stepped up to the plate to help Mr. Childers win the
seat by creating an online phone bank to call voters. That link is as
follows.

I will forward on any links Sen. Clinton provides on the race to help
Mr. Childers should she provide any.

More information on Travis Childers can be found at

Get to work guys,

P.S. There is another vacant seat in Baton Rouge, Louisiana that will
hold a special election in a few weeks as well. We are expected to do
extremely well there with some political prognosticators already
suggesting the democrats will gain this seat. More on this race later.
