Good Morning Everyone!
As you may have heard, the College Democrats of North Texas have
changed our e-mail delivery system form Yahoo! Groups to Google
Groups. From now on, all official UNT Democrats' messages will be
coming from this group, and we disavow and are not to be held
responsible by anything you receive from the Yahoo Group (I am
currently trying to figure out how to delete it). If your e-mail was
added by mistake, please e-mail me back BEFORE January 14 and I will
personally delete it; after that please delete it yourself at
http://groups.google.com/group/untdemocrats.
A little news round up.
1. Congratulations to Sen. Barack Obama and his supporters who have
won the Iowa Caucus.
2. Congratulations to Sen. Hillary Clinton and her supporters who won
the New Hampshire Primary.
The next primary is Michigan on Tuesday January 15, however they have
been stripped of their delegates via the DNC. Nevada is the next
official state to hold a caucus on January 19; It will be exciting to
see what happens then.
Candidate filing has concluded in Texas for the 2008 election cycle,
check out our blog at
http://untdemocrats.blogspot.com/ for the full
list of Denton candidates. Also, be sure to check out Omar's pre-
election day analysis.
We are currently planning a voter registration drive on Sunday,
January 13 during dorm move in; More details to follow.
FINALLY, The College Democrats will be meeting starting January 29 in
the Environmental Science Building, Room 126 at 6:00 p.m. We will
continue to meet every Tuesday at 6:00, as we did last year, but
again, we are now meeting in the Environmental Science Building, Room
126
I look forward to working very hard with you al this semester!
