web link to iPhone app

I'm trying to figure out how to open a specific beer in the iPhone app from a web page.
The links below opens the app but then it crashes.

<a href="untappd://beer/info/666">open in iPhone app</a>
<a href="untappd://v4/beer/info/666">open in iPhone app</a>

Any ideas?

I was using examples from this page

Thanks for this Greg! Any chance you could add an argument to the check-in URL to display the ActionSheet that is shown after one taps "Add Photo"? This could be a kind of workaround for not allowing third-party apps to post photos of check-ins -- after a check-in, the third-party app could launch the official app to post a picture.

looking for one for search.
