Based in Egypt. Showing again, that emerging countries make more and
more of the Java and Open Source community.

The technical documents don't mention JSR-256, but it is very likely,
the ME part uses some of it. Where DICOM is used, UCUM is likely
involved.

Based on new evidence, other than Parfait there are several active JSR-275 users.

First and foremost GeoAPI and various Downstream Projects, most notable:

• uDig, recently contributed to Eclipse LocationTech Incubator
• Apache SIS

As well as:

• Humanize for Java, at least the UCUM part: http://mfornos.github.io/humanize/
• Revolsys Open: https://github.com/revolsys/com.revolsys.open (last update on GitHub yesterday, the projects seems very active;-)

These and other projects and authors are being contacted regarding a possible re-launch of a Units of Measure JSR. Please let us know, how you think about it
