Subject: Quick UMNA Updates

Hello everyone,

I wanted to briefly write you to keep you up to date with a couple
neighborhood developments.

UMNA community garden

Thanks to the good work and generosity of Third Rochester Enterprises
Corp (TREC) UMNA has received $1,700 towards our new community garden.
These funds will be used to improve the property and construct garden
infrastructure.

If you have not seen the plans for this exiting project please
download them here: http://www.uppermonroeavenue.org/pdf/UMNA%20Garden%20Report%20Draft.pdf

Some garden plots are still available. If you are interested in
renting a  4' x 12' plot next spring for $25 for the year please email
me as soon as possible. If you have just verbally told me that you are
interested please email me to confirm that you are on the list (U...@holimolimedia.com
). If you have already emailed me you are all set for the spring.

We are still accepting leaves to be recycled into garden compost. I
have several yard waste bags on hand. If you would like to get rid of
your leaves please contact me and I will drop off some bags. If you
can bag the leaves we will pick them up.

Armory Update

UMNA representatives and the Armory Task force met with the soon to be
new owners of the Culver Rd Armory. Only broad principles were
discussed as the redevelopment of the Armory is in its very early
stages. As it stands, The developer is looking to restore and upgrade
the main armory building for mixed office and light retail. The back
parcel is slated for residential development though details are still
in flux. the developer would like to begin redeveloping the main
building in spring and break ground on the residential component at a
later date.

We will be sure to keep you up to date as more details emerge.

See you in the neighborhood.

Bill
