The main advantage of printing from sd card is that you eliminate the slow
serial link. If you can let a rasPie act as a SPI slave, then by all means
go for it. I'm not sure, but I think it can also drive an LCD, so you just
need a slightly bigger housing to make it act like an Ulticontroller+.
But then again, a cheap android tablet becomes an option too, if you figure
out a way to make one of its output pins as a SPI slave.
