  Hi Jelle, &lt;br&gt; I had a look, I think the torque is actually higher! &lt;br&gt; The motors are a little bigger (longer) and they don&#39;t get warm when &lt;br&gt; printing. &lt;br&gt; Do you think that it wouldn&#39;t hurt to turn up the stepper drivers a little? &lt;br&gt; The motors on the official UM at work get pretty warm even during shortish &lt;br&gt; prints.

  The lower inductance points to a lower torque, which may explain your &lt;br&gt; problems. But I think you have it a little too tight.   The problem with the 6S is that the 22.2V puts the heater out of spec, &lt;br&gt; making it 54W instead of 40W. This could quite possibly burn out your &lt;br&gt; heater. Also, the LM7812 on the board is already at it&#39;s limits with 19V, &lt;br&gt; putting 22.2V on it will increase the chance that it destroys itself.

  I think there is a slightly nicer design by ultinoob(?) that has a banana &lt;br&gt; and set screw. Meaning you don&#39;t have to un-tension anything.
