to ULMC
Dear all,

After a fun week we have lots of climbing and the chance to sign up for our next trip

TUESDAY: TRIP LIST SIGN UP and CLIMBING

The next trip is to Snowdonia, on the 31st May - 2nd June. This will be a great trip with (weather permitting) both walking and climbing. The trip will cost £35 which will cover all travel, accommodation and food.

In order to get a place on the trip you need to email Tom (tomasza...@gmail.com) You will then receive an email with further details.

Although there are less of us during exams,we will be at Mile End Climbing wall from about 6.30pm. All levels are welcome including complete beginners. Just come and find us when you have signed up at the wall (we helpfully wear t-shirts saying ULMC), bring suitable clothes for climbing, shoes are available for hire. ULMC will provide harnesses for those who don't have them and ropes for those who lead climb. More details about the venue, prices, location etc can be found here: http://www.mileendwall.org.uk/

THURSDAY: DAY CLIMB.

There is a day climb planned, weather permitting we'll be going to Harrison's rocks or Bowles rocks south of London. They are close together so the decision will be made on the day.

You need to have climbed before (indoors or outdoors) and know how to belay as it will not be possible to teach people there. IF you do not know how to belay and want to come, then it is fine to come along to climbing on Tuesday and learn then!

If you'd like to come along please send an email to tomasza...@googlemail.com so that he knows who to expect, and to be able to confirm plans based on the weather. If you'd like to borrow climbing kit (including shoes or a harnesses) then please email in advance so that it can be collected. Helmets are not deemed essential as Sandstone is different to other outdoor rocks, however if you would prefer to borrow one that is fine. If anyone is able to help collect and carry equipment then that would be much appreciated.

As well as suitable clothes for climbing it's worth bringing some food for lunch and some cash. There is an entry fee for Bowles rocks of £4.

Travel details:
Outward: 10:08 train from London Bridge to Eridge
Return: to be decided on the day, direct trains from Eridge to London Bridge leave hourly
Meet: 09:50 outside main ticket office at London Bridge
Cost: Approximately £10 with a railcard

Contact: Tom, tomasza...@googlemail.com , 07787791802

There is a possibility that people will end up in the pub after this. But there is no usual social.

DRIVERS WANTED
If you're committed to the club, are over 21, have two years driving experience, hold a category B license from the UK or EU with no endorsements and want to enjoy all the perks that come with being a ULMC driver, we want you. Perks include priority on trips and getting to choose the music... let me know if you're interested so we can get your paperwork processed for the brief lesson and test. NB - commitment is important as the club has to pay for each test.
