Lots to talk about this week, people.
First things first:
1. SCOTLAND 2010
We'll be running a winter mountaineering trip to Scotland from 13-20 February 2010, and are currently trying to gauge whether there's enough interest to require booking further accomodation.
The trip will cost about £180, and will include all food, accomodation, transport to and from Scotland, and a day or two of guiding for the less experienced to get them up to speed. There will most likely be some extra expense for kit.
If you're interested in coming on this trip, reply back to this email saying so. Please note that stating interest at this point is not the same as being on the trip list, and we will contact you later on if we succeed in adding more space onto the trip.
2. THIS WEEK - 30th November - 6th December
TUESDAY:
CLIMBING SESSION: We'll be climbing at Mile End from about 7. The website is http://www.mileendwall.org.uk/ . The easiest way to get there is from Mile End station (central line). Check their website for further details.
Price-wise, the total registration/climbing fee/shoe hire will be £12 - possibly less for students, so do make sure that you have your student ID on you.
Bring some comfortable clothes to climb in, and if you have them, rock shoes and harness - we'll be able to provide ropes and harnesses if you don't. Look for the ULMC T-shirts!
THURSDAY:
A social at the Penderel's Oak - we'll be there from 8 onwards. Come along for a pint and some banter. Details of the pub can be found here: http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/show.shtml/59/ . Look for the ULMC sign, or call Charlotte on 07870 795 404 if you can't find us.
SATURDAY:
DAY WALK!
Depending on weather conditions, there'll be a day walk organised this weekend - you'll be getting an email from Paul to tell you what's happening if it goes ahead.
3. FINALLY...
- BRECON BEACONS CHRISTMAS TRIP - December 11-13. If you're on the trip list keep an eye on your emails for information from Kim and Joanna about departure details, and remember - if you haven't paid up soon your place could go to someone else...
- You can join the club any time - help us get lots of ULU funding by having lots of members! Full details on the website.
