Hi all,

I haven't been active, but it seems that Unity hasn't really been
either. Are there any updates so far?

I tried to follow what was going on with MDV/OM, but all I see are
arguments and non-cooperation.

Dusting off the Distro

4.10. Several packages I had to exclude from updating. This is the

I upgraded the kernel-generic to the latest version and the kernel-
dev, rebooted all wseemed ok, I then noticed a load of x11 drivers x11-
drivers-video, installed them rebooted to find my install no longer
boots to desktop, get error: could not log bootup: adress already in

After installing the latest iso (20120216) I get the expected mount
points plus some extras that I don't know where they are coming
from... those at /mnt/install. I've attached the output of df, mount
and the contents of /etc/fstab. If anyone has an idea what is causing

Everything works fine until I get to that last one-- I get:

This seems like such a waste of resources. When the computer is installing
packages, it's not taking advantage of the internet bandwidth available.

Though, needs refining, tab doesn't seem to work for me on boot menu
as it should. On using mklivecd it did mentioned an error to do with

it's totally untested.
I can't test it because my host system is Mandriva 2011 stable but the
package is, of course, built against Cooker. Last time I tried
upgrading to Cooker I lost sound and seeing as there have been
breakages recently, I haven't been wanting to test the waters again
