Hi all,

Within the past hour, having checked predictions and phoned up the CAA
etc, I have made the decision to go for a launch this Saturday (4th
Feb) - of course pending weather conditions and any nasty bugs (those
of you who are on the IRC will probably know I'm prone to nasty
bugs!).
I realise that Dave (daveake) is launching this Saturday too (pending
conditions), however my flight will not interfere with his as I'll be
transmitting down on 434.075.
I am also going to be testing an uplink using easyradios - I would
like to add that I'm certainly not expecting any great range from
these at all.

Launch site is about 5miles north of Worcester (not too far from
Birmingham) - if anyone is interested etc, please do pop along, any
help is greatly appreciated! If you would like to then please speak to
me on the IRC (cuddykid) or mail me and I'll send you all the info.

Any help in tracking is greatly appreciated as always.

I will keep you all posted - for the most up to date status you can
either check my blog: http://habexperiments.wordpress.com (right hand
side) or http://ukhas.org.uk/projects:habe:launch status

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone on the
IRC for their help - especially daveake (he has had to sit through
many many of my silly bugs!).

Cheers,
Adam

SNOW likely to be a problem. Forecast for most of the UK, sometime
this weekend.

Yes, snow is a concern and I'm keeping a close eye on the forecast. It
shouldn't be a problem in the morning here - so provided I can get it
up and away before the snow comes I should be fine.
Ideally it would be nice for it to descend back through the clouds and
capture images of a lovely snowy landscape!
Currently the launch is still on though.

Any updates will hit the IRC, twitter (@adamcudworth) and
http://ukhas.org.uk/projects:habe:launch status first.

*IMPORTANT*

For those tracking - selecting "HABE2" in dl-fldigi will give a small
shift (something like 23hz!); this is due to a bug and is NOT the
shift for HABE2.
Please manually select a 600mhz shift by going "Configure > Modems >
RTTY > and selecting 600 for Carrier Shift"

Thanks all!

Just to let you all know that it was a successful flight and a full
rundown including some fancy graphs of the data collected can be found
on my blog here - http://habexperiments.wordpress.com

Many thanks to all who helped track - I really appreciate it!

Cheers,
Adam
