Formalisation thread

I am personally actively talking to insurers about balloon insurance.
I've asked Perkins Slade (http://www.perkins-slade.com/contact-us) and
Doodsons (http://www.doodsonbg.com/) who supply model plane fliers
with insurance. I will post information on what they can offer when
they get back to me. It does seem that it would be cheaper if it came
from a formalised club.

I’m not too surprise at the lack of response from insurance companies. They probably don’t consider it worthwhile accessing unique risks for an individual. That is why it would be better to formalize and approach these companies as a group of potential customers.
