UKHAS Prize 2009

Just to announce a 'small' competition for those who want to get

Aim
* Transmission of a message from the ground up to a balloon and then
down to the listener system while the balloon is above 20km
Rules
* See the wiki (http://wiki.ukhas.org.uk/prize:rules)
* Radio transmission has to use licence exempt frequencies and powers
(more details on the wiki)
Timescale
* You've got until 16th August 2009
Prize
* Extreme Kudos
* Some cash - £100 at present (I'm working on sponsors)
* KCI-1200 balloon (from Random Solutions)
* Cheap and Tacky Top Gear Style Trophy
Teams
* Feel free to form teams of one or more, if you want to get involved
pop on to #highaltitude on freenode or reply to this email to say that
you are willing to help out and perhaps you could form a team of like
minded others.
* You don't have to be in the UK to get involved however the launch
needs to take place in the UK.
* Documentation on the wiki is encouraged - others will be interested
to see your progress!
