Hey folks,

I did a talk on high altitude ballooning at Layerone (conference in Los
Angeles [link] ) last weekend. I covered the basics and
tried to gear it for beginners. After the talk I did a pico launch as a
demo. Video and picture links below.
Enjoy :)

[link]

Worked OK here, FF21 on XP. Make sure your Flash player (etc) is all
up-to-date. FF can disable out-of-date plugins by default now, but you
can overide that "if you wish".

Sometimes you have to do a flash player re-install after a FF update
anyway, that's more an issue with Flash, than FF.

 Hi all,
I know that every now and then people post here to advertise an old radio
for sale.
Just wondering whether anyone does have a radio for sale (suitable for HAB
tracking) - I'd rather purchased from a fellow HABer than from eBay!
Thanks
Adam

You may remember a launch I did back in early February, up in Alston, on a
snowy golf course in the midst of a blizzard. Not the most pleasant of
conditions but it did make the launch "interesting" and the snow was
perfect for the video that was produced from the day's activities. So here
is possibly the most unusual HAB video you've seen for a while ...

[UKHAS] Flight Announcements - Elsworth launch fest Sunday 5th May

In somewhat of a launch fest there are a few flights planned from Elsworth Cambridgeshire this coming Sunday:-

	* A flight by Imperial College SEDS - on 434.650MHz - I have no more detail on this but it doesn't sound like it will be de-codeable by fl-digi - so I'm mainly posting to stop any frequency use conflicts.

Hi all, I hope this is within rules, if not I'm very sorry!

After a few years of collecting some of the bits needed I've never actually
found time to construct my balloon ready for a flight. So instead of it
sitting in the cupboard I may as well pop it on eBay & put the money to
other uses.
