Subject: Safety information
Hello,

I am a Technology student and am researching into safety systems on public
transport for the 'Common core' area of the A Level. I would be grateful if
anyone could point me in the right direction to findi information on
the technical side of safety systems on ferries, ie. websites, books;
Anything would be helpful!

Thanks,

Angus Thomson

Try the Maratime and Coastguard Agency.
One of the Southampton Surveyors either Pat Dolby, Roger Janson, or Alan
Fairney ( principle surveyor ) should be able to help. Tel 01703 329329
These are the actual people who issue certficates to all the ships in the UK
Passenger carrying ( over 12 passengers ) and cargo ships.

Also try their web site at http://www.mcagency.org.uk/ and the Dept of
transport site at http://www.mcagency.org.uk/Regards
