Are there ANY accessories for the 7650? I'm still waiting for a car kit! not
even any sign of a 3rd party version.

Why can I get a car kit for a 3310 that is most likely to be owned by some
spotty 13 year old, whereas the person most likely to invest the money on a
7650 (and the car kit to go with it) is probably a car owner with cash to
spare?

Surely this has got to change seeing as Nokia are just encouraging all 7650
owners to break any current laws and future legislation outlawing use of a
mobile in a car without a handsfree option.

Regards,

DWan

Because the 33xx is about 10000% more popular than the 7650.

Don't think there ever will be John? Data connections are inside the case...

I doubt there'll ever be a car kit for 7650 - there aren't even the
slightest hints that Nokia will bother and I suspect there's hardware
limitations that make it impossible.

Firstly, the form factor isn't well suited to a mobile holder, and Nokia
haven't produced one. Secondly, with the use of 3xxx type headsets,
Nokia could have made the phone compatible with the PPH-1 plug in car
kit - but they didn't. Thirdly, the Bluetooth on 7650 doesn't support
the handsfree or headset profiles, so you can't use Bluetooth car kit
hardware.

3650 clearly will have a car kit - in many ways, 3650 is a mark 2 7650.
It does have very 'unique' styling, mind you...

I guess one solution is for me to cancel my contract and invest in a proper
phone that DOES support hands free operation via Bluetooth. The more I use
this phone the worse it seems to get. Maybe I should go back to the old PDA
and normal mobile combo, at least that combination works and there are lots
of car kit options for the phone.
